A little bit about me and my guide. I'm an avid Star Wars fan and collector, I purchased an Empire Strikes Back 32" Millennium Falcon model to build and paint. I very quickly realised I was way out of my depth and I had no clue where the paints were supposed to be.

I started to research and document where the paint layers should go and realised the studio model made by ILM was far more complex than I realised. This is when I put painting my own model on the back burner whist I created the very simple version original guide. After request upon request to turn this into a proper guide, I decided that is what I would do, I then put hundreds of hours into research and creating this guide.
 

 

This guide purely uses Archive-X paints, this is because Archive-X developed their paints for years to replicate the exact colour’s used by ILM whilst creating these models.
